Boys Trip 2008 pt 2

Postby cookpassbabtridge on Mon Jul 28, 2008 9:08 am

Dudes,

Are we going to try for a nother boys excursion later this year? May i suggest sometime in October, around the 18th or 25th based weekends for such frivolity?

If you fancy something, post here like a cool dude.

also, i got a voting machine, vote where we go!

Will somewhere warm in October not be a long way away? And thus expensive. Its only worth the warm if it is HOT!

IF that is the case i vote for (yeah you guessed it) Amsterdam.

Nice machine by the way.

P.S. Ive been to Bratislava this year so would prefer to not return, its not that good either!

I've been researching - the dam trip could be done for four nights, thurs - mon, in october, inc flights for a smidge over £100 plus spends!

Weh-hey!

Scotty raises two good points

a) his question
b) it would have to be when no LPFC game is scheduled - drat. That means nothing can be planned till (IF) we get the fixtures.

RussellEastFromGrimsby beasty, i trust the 100% comes form your 1 vote...still 100% is 100%.

100%.

Also, re scottyal, i think a team bonding trip could be good, as long as i don't have to pay for everyone and try and get it back (that includes Greasy Greek "credit risk" Attewell), there's not that much money in the world!

Where have you looked for the £100 flights and accom? I got £100 for flights on Jet2. Also, over the weekends i can go in Oct (18th and 25th) Ajax are playin at home vs Groningen and NEC respectively. Any other dates are pretty much out for me due to study/exam Shinklebinkle.

I'd still like to go Krakow, mind.

Jet2 for the cheap flights. See jet 2 website and low fare finder at top left. Some for a 5er and 15squids on thurs 17th oct back monday 20th, cheapest hotels/deerest hostels for 25squid a night.

Its the going friday coming back sunday makes flghts expensive.

It could be done mega cheap if we stay in hostels.

Cant see spazzy up for that though.

team bonding would be awesome, it'd be a case of "pay this amount by this date" if u don't, you don't go. and a long wknd (thurs-mon) works out cheaper than fri-sun. hostels fine by me, only gonna be a place to rest your head. then more for spending!

have to have a look at fixtures once we get them, see if owts free. although if we apply to league early enough, maybe able to call game off. Smellyfield did it for stannie's stag do to edinburgh.

When do you get fixtures? Just cos those two weekends in Oct (18th and 25th) a pretty much literally the only ones i can do. And you need me. I organise.

Deffo apply in writing to get any fixtures called off for "Team Bondage Exercise". That's right, i said bondage.

Don't forget with your Thurs-Mon weekend, you have to offset the difference in cost between flights with the extra cost of accomodation for the extra night to get any true saving, usually (depending on where you stay and how expensive it is) it evens itself out.

I'll look at some apartments/hostels today. Good luck getting The Big Chairman into a hostel mind.

Hostels and Stuff

Postby Scottyal on Wed Jul 30, 2008 9:18 am

I have extensive experience of Slovakian and Czech hostels and the filthy nympho ladies that frequent such venues.

Bring it on

We can organise things without you david, look at the fitba team. Website apart. You were gonna charge us a kings ransom for flights. Are you comission based?

I reckon we could use the LPFC account as a holding account for all monies to pay out - if it is to become an LPFC not an LPG(entlemans)C event. Treasurer Rodgers - would we need to obtain a card for payments?

If its a one in all in cheap as poss event i dont think anyone would mind where we stay.

I think it would be good, as i discussed with JQR last night to have a trip away with new people. Would mix it up a bit.

I agree, despite myself going to Amsterdam next Sat it would be a good place to go, especially if it's a team bonding trip and not on of LPGC's cultural excursions. Ergo, it's somewhere to get drunk/stoned/smacked off yer tits, watch English fitba and not worry about missing a holocaust memorial or a snazzy building.

And it's no more expensive than anywhere else, third world Europe is no longer the haven for the cash rich Westerner. Those times are gone, Sir Norbert of Stellings, you can wave good by to your 30p pint, £2.50 hooker and 3.8p to get in a bar on NYE. Game over, man, game over.

If it does turn into an LPGC affair, i vote Krakow (flights just as cheap as Ams) as i like to see stuff.

agree with Webmaster and RussellEastFromGrimsby on this Sir Norbert of Stellings, the cheap days are gone, let it go...

as for LPFC account, we don't have any plastic, be easier to use someone's (organiser roberstahw?) account. you know i'm good for the money!

pencil in those wknds thatt dave mentioned, and do some research and wait for fixtures.

as for it evening itself out, if we stay cheap hostel, then it's really down to the individual's expenses.....i know snape will be saving as we speak!
